How Jessie's home care started

My Journey into Care – The Story Behind Jessie’s Home Care

My journey in care began in 2007 when I started working as a care assistant in a residential care home. From there, I transitioned into domiciliary care, where I supported individuals in the comfort of their own homes. This was where my passion truly developed and where my journey into management began.

I went on to work for a well-respected care provider in East London for many years, eventually becoming the Assistant Operational Manager within the Home Care Department. During this time, I gained valuable experience in managing care services and building strong relationships with clients and their families.

Sadly, after the COVID-19 pandemic, the company made the difficult decision to close its home care department and focus on other areas of care. However, by then, I had built strong and trusting relationships with many of my clients. Several of them asked if I would continue to support them, even after the service had ended.

It was this trust and encouragement that inspired me to start my own service — and that’s how Jessie’s Home Care was born.

Since launching, I’ve continued to grow the business and have welcomed some wonderful and compassionate carers to join my team. Together, we are committed to delivering the same high standards of care and support that inspired this journey in the first place.

Jessica and her team have been supporting my 92 year old grandmother for a couple of years now. My grandmother likes to be as independent as possible, but whatever she needs in the way of shopping and cleaning, Jessica and her team are there to assist in any way whilst maintaining my grandmother independence as much as she would like. They always go that extra mile and they are always reliable, caring and kind. Very happy with the support we receive and would recommend this services to anyone.
